Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Brings Classic 1961 Police Car to Winter Wonderland
Kids and families can see a real police car from the 1960s at this year’s Winter Wonderland Festival. The Sheriff’s Department is bringing a fully restored 1961 Plymouth Fury, the kind of patrol car that protected neighborhoods over 60 years ago.
The bright, shiny vehicle looks completely different from today’s police cruisers. With its big tailfins, chrome bumpers, and vintage red lights, it looks like something straight out of an old movie or TV show. Children who have only seen modern squad cars will be amazed at how different policing looked in their grandparents’ time.
Families can walk around the car, peek inside at the old radio equipment and steering wheel, and snap photos. Sheriff’s deputies will be on hand to answer questions about how the car worked and what it was like to patrol in a vehicle with no computers, GPS, or even air conditioning.

Kids Zone – Unlimited Fun!
For just $20 per child (ages 5 and up), enjoy access to the Kids Zone, a wonderland of activities and attractions. This ticket grants children unlimited play, including:
– Bounce Houses and Obstacle Courses for endless energy release
– Florida Snow Tubing to experience a snowy thrill, right here in Florida
– Games and Activity Tables that entertain and engage
– Creative Fun with reindeer food-making, balloon artistry, and more

Parking is available for free at the following locations, all within walking distance of the event:
– Weaver Commercial Park: 2060 Weaver Park Dr, Clearwater, FL 33765
– Countryside Dental: 2165 Palmetto St, Clearwater, FL 33765
– Strupp & Brumm Dental: 906 N Belcher Rd, Clearwater, FL 33765
– Todo Dentistry: 831 N Hercules Ave Unit #201, Clearwater, FL 33765
A shuttle will run every 35 minutes between these locations and the event for convenient pick-up and drop-off.
– Handicap parking is available near the entrance, though space is limited. A designated drop-off/pick-up zone is also available for guests with special needs. Note: No parking is allowed in the drop-off zone.
